The city of Seville, in Spain, was the first to enjoy one of our most special light and sound shows. Some 10-meter-high angels crowned its San Francisco square to welcome Christmas 2019 with a design never seen before in giant Christmas figures.
Arranged in a corridor, eight luminous structures shaped like a giant angel filled Seville's Christmas with light and music with daily shows throughout the season. Preceded in other years by other giant figures such as Christmas balls or wreaths of the Three Wise Men, the angels were also accompanied by the Loterías y Apuestas del Estado tree, a 20-meter-high element that we design and install every year from our group in different points of Spain.
"The project became almost before its inauguration a reason for a visit and an obligatory stop within the city's Christmas program"
The project was developed under the collaboration of the Ilmex and Ximenez Lighting teams - companies that are part of the Ximenez Group parent company - and became almost before its inauguration a reason for a visit and a mandatory stop within the Christmas program developed by the city that motivated an important boost in the return on investment of its sponsors: Grupo Lar, Fundación Unicaja, Grupo Azvi and City Sightseeing.
From this success, other cities such as Almería (Spain) or Cascais (Portugal), among others, joined in Christmas 2020 to incorporate giant figures such as angels of light into their Christmas attractions, especially with the aim of offer motivations to citizens to leave home and, applying all security measures, get excited about Christmas lighting and visit shops and hotels.
With all this, the angels of light have already become one of the most representative facilities of our design and capacity for innovation.
